Foods you Need to Try at Ham Orchards!
Last updated October 1, 2026
What is the most important reason you should head over to Ham Orchards in Terrell, Texas? Why the food of course! They have so many peach flavored foods along with many other great options as well. After trying these foods, you may want to go back more than once each season. Let’s start the list with some of my favorite items…
Peach Pulled Pork
The peach pulled pork sandwich contains peach BBQ by Eddie Dean and is served on a delicious and very soft bun. This sandwich can be purchased individually or as a meal. You can even pick up a bottle of the peach BBQ sauce in the market store if you love it and want more. This sandwich is my go-to. It is different than other types of BBQ but just as delicious. You will definitely want to give it a try.

Peach Pickles
To top off your pulled pork sandwich you can stop by the condiment station to pick up some peach pickles. Yes, you heard that right – PEACH pickles! Not only do they have regular peach pickles but you can also try their spicier peach pickles if you want a little more heat. These are so good on your sandwich or just to eat on the side. These pickles have such a unique flavor with the sweetness from the peaches. My family and I can go through so many of these. We love them. These are also available to purchase in the store’s refrigerated area if you want to take some home.

Peach Tea
Whether you like sweet or unsweet tea this is a must try. The peach tea at Ham Orchards is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. You can pair it with your peach BBQ sandwich and peach pickles to complete your meal. If you can’t get enough of the tea at lunch, you can buy it by the gallon in the market store to take home with you. There are also many other flavored drinks offered in the beverage and condiment building so you might want to give them all a try. The air conditioning in this building is also an added benefit on a hot summer day.

Other Menu Options
Along with the amazing pulled pork, there are also some other dishes available for purchase. Here is a list of those other options….
Chopped and Sliced Brisket
Smoked Chicken
Chicken Salad
Regular Pulled Pork
St. Louis Ribs
Kids’ Hot Dog
While I suggest giving the peach BBQ sandwich a try first, these other options can be great if you want to share items or go back another day. Have you tried any of these other options? Let me know in the comments which menu item you liked the best.

Sides
With each menu item you have the option to order that item individually or as part of combo which includes a side and drink (can anyone say peach tea?).
The four sides you can choose between include charro beans, coleslaw, potato salad or chips. When I go, it is so hard for me to choose only one so I usually add an extra side to my meal. My favorites are the charro beans and potato salad. For the rest of my family, some of their go-tos are the coleslaw and chips.

Peach Ice Cream
After lunch, top everything off with some of the best peach ice cream you’ve ever tasted! Along with the peach-flavored ice cream you can also get strawberry (see photo below) or a mix of the two. This summer they also removed their artificial colors in their ice cream which is always a good thing! When you order a cup or cone, it is big enough to split between two people. All you have to do is ask for an extra cup and it makes sharing really easy. While I like both flavors of ice cream, the peach is my favorite. I can’t wait for you to give these a try. It are SO good!
If you have a little extra time, you can also take your ice cream to the rocking chairs under the covered eating area and enjoy nature while you relax and eat your cold treat.

These foods are what keeps my family and I going back each summer! We look forward to eating here when we can. Which food from my list of favorites are you looking forward to trying?
