Free Dining Options on the Carnival Jubilee
There are so many free and complimentary food options on the Carnival Jubilee it would be hard to get bored with any of them. Not only are they free but they taste great as well. As with any vacation, you have the option of trying to save as much money as you can by using all the options that are already included or spending more to add “extras” to your trip. If you prefer the former, you can save money by indulging on all the free dining options aboard the ship verses going to the restaurants where you have to pay an additional fee. In this article I share a little about these complimentary dining options along with a few personal thoughts. Let’s start with one of my favorites, the Blue Iguana.
The Blue Iguana
If you love tex-mex like me, this may become one of your favorite spots to eat. At the Blue Iguana there are a variety of ingredients you can combine to make tacos or a burrito. And while it’s not officially on the menu, you can also ask for them to make a burrito bowl without the tortilla. I love that you can customize your meal to your liking. When you walk up to the Blue Iguana, a team member will make your meal in front of you as you select your toppings. When we went, we had great service and everything was made really well! You can also stop by for breakfast if you would like and try their breakfast tacos. The Blue Iguana can be found on the lido deck making it an easy place to grab lunch while you spend your day going swimming.

Street Eats/Bagels at Sea
Also on the Lido deck is Street Eats. Here you will find different types of grab and go food. The menu changes each day, so be sure to stop by when you can to see what they are offering. This area is also where you will find Bagels at Sea. At this walk up restaurant, you can grab a bagel and cream cheese or a bagel sandwich for breakfast. A few of the dishes in this area are available for an addition cost so I recommend looking closely at the posted menus to find all the free items.

Guy’s Burger Joint
Guy’s is one of the most popular places to eat on any Carnival ship. Guy’s Burger Joint is one of two Guy Fieri restaurants on the Jubilee. Here you can select from a handful of delicious burger options that are sure to hit the spot. You will also want to try the matchstick fries that come with your choice of burger as they are quite delicious. On the first day of your cruise, this restaurant (and many of the others) are quite busy with people waiting for their rooms to be ready. During the rest of the cruise, there was not much of a wait.

Costal Slice
Located on deck 8 near guest services is Costal Slice. Here is where you will want to be when you get your pizza craving! Not only do they serve you two slices to a plate but they are also open late for those late night snacks.

Beach Buns
Next to Coastal Slice is Beach Buns. At Beach Buns you can order a variety of hotdogs with many different toppings and several different types of sandwiches. The sandwiches are fairly large so it is easy to share for a midafternoon or late night snack. About halfway through my cruise, I also realized they served two different soups daily and started keeping an eye out for what the soup of the day was. During my trip, I also got into a routine of stopping by Beach Buns each night to pick up a bowl of potato chips to eat along side my late night ice cream cone. Anyone else love a good sweet and salty combo?
Guy’s Pig and Anchor
If you continue past guest services on deck 8 you will find Guy’s Pig and Anchor. This is the second of Guy Fieri’s restaurants on board. You will want to try out this restaurant during the day because in the evening hours this becomes a restaurant you have to pay extra at. Pig and Anchor also usually only has lunch available on sea days. This barbecue restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat. The barbecue and sides are delicious. I highly recommend putting this on your list to try. This area is also where people can gather to watch sporting events. This can make it hard to find seating so make sure you go with plenty of time.

Big Chicken
Guy Fieri isn’t the only celebrity with a restaurant on the Jubilee. Shaquille O’Neal’s restaurant, Big Chicken, can be found up on deck 16 just past the buffet. Not only does this restaurant have chicken sandwiches and tenders for lunch but you can stop by at breakfast and get a biscuit sandwich as well. Each dish is served with crispy French fries and you can stop by the condiment bar to grab a variety of dipping sauces to go with them. Grabbing a bowl of fries and sauce became my afternoon snack by the end of the week. They were so good. I promise I did other things besides eat on this cruise but these were too good to pass up!

Main Dining Room
Each night of your cruise you have the option to eat in the main dining room. You can preview the night’s menu on the Carnival app or you can see it posted outside the dining room entrance each day. You can also eat breakfast in the main dining room where you will find slightly different menus on sea days verses port days. The app will also let you know what the dress code is for the evening with some days being formal and others more casual. Buffet – Lido Marketplace
Everyday of your cruise the buffet is open and serving a variety of dishes, sides and desserts. The offerings change throughout the cruise but there are usually common staples that everyone enjoys. This area can also be a great place to grab a table and watch the ocean through the floor to ceiling windows while eating. The buffet on the Jubilee is completely inside so it can also be a good place to sit on rainy days.
Cucina Del Capitano and ChiBang
There are two sit down restaurants aboard the Jubilee that you can dine at once on your trip for free and then pay a small fee for each visit after that. The first, Cucina Del Capitano, is an Italian restaurant with several good pasta options. I also chose the salad for my appetizer and it did not disappoint. I loved the dressing it came with. We ate here on one of the last days on the cruise and if I go back I will make sure I visit this restaurant again.

ChiBang, a restaurant that has both Mexican and Chinese cuisine, is a unique dining experience. To start, they brought a mixture of tortilla chips and fried crisps to dip in pico de Gallo and a sweet sauce. You are then able to pick between a variety of noodle and rice bowls for your entree along with churros and flan for dessert. I recommend giving each of these restaurants a try at least once on your trip.

Bonus: Ice Cream Machines
Don’t forget to top off any meal with a stop at one of the free ice cream machines. Each day the flavors vary but they usually have chocolate plus a choice of either strawberry or vanilla or a mix of the two. You can find one of the machines in both the front and back of the ship on differing decks.
After reading about all those restaurants, needless to say, you won’t go hungry aboard the Carnival Jubilee. If you don’t want to spend extra money, you have many complimentary options to choose from. Let me know which option is your favorite after giving them a try. – Pepper and Passports
