Experience Mission BBQ: A Delicious Tribute to Heroes

BBQ is one of my favorite meals to enjoy and I love when something I enjoy can mean something more. I want to introduce you to Mission BBQ. Mission BBQ’s goal is to honor the people who serve our great nation. From active military to veterans, firefighters to police, this restaurant is dedicated to you.

When you first drive up to Mission BBQ you will see a few parking spaces reserved for those who have served and this is just the beginning. Once you enter, there is no way to miss what this restaurant is all about. The walls are covered with badges, pictures of different military branches and also public servants. You will also find an American flag proudly hung from the ceiling at the center of room. Everyday at noon, everyone stops what they’re doing while the National Anthem is played. I encourage everyone to try and eat at Mission BBQ for lunch at least once to be a part of this neat experience.

While this experience alone makes the restaurant an interesting stop, you will not want to miss the food! You can order one of the five or more different types of meat or grab a meat sampler to try more than one at a time. My favorite is the lean cut brisket! To go along with your meat, you can add on some delicious sides like green beans, coleslaw or baked beans. You will also want to check out what seasonal sides they have when you go. Be sure to check out all of the options they have in store as there are so many great ones.

Bringing kids with you? Don’t worry, there is a great kids menu as well. Once you get your food and sit down at your table, the real work begins, finding the right BBQ sauce for you. There are 6 plus different sauces inspired by different places around the United States. Try a little of each one to find your favorite or mix a couple to make a new flavor.

With over 100 locations, Mission BBQ can be found in 23 different states, making them a restaurant you can find fairly easily on your travels. Here is where each one is located – https://mission-bbq.com/locations-and-menu/
